WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
Poverty is more than a lack of money. It can limit a woman’s choices, restrict her opportunities, and make it far more difficult to build a safe and secure future. When a woman has little or no income of her own, limited access to education, or few opportunities for employment, she may become economically dependent on others. That dependence can make it harder to provide for her children, secure safe housing, leave an abusive relationship, or make independent decisions about her life. Economic hardship can also increase vulnerability to early marriage, gender-based violence, trafficking, and sexual or labour exploitation. In some situations, women may feel forced into unsafe or exploitative circumstances simply to survive or meet basic needs. Economic empowerment changes what is possible. By equipping women with practical skills, financial knowledge, mentorship, and pathways to sustainable income, we help strengthen their independence, expand their choices, and create greater stability for themselves, their families, and their communitie

OUR PROCESS
EQUIP
We equip women with practical, locally relevant skills that can create pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and income generation. Training is designed around opportunities that women can realistically use within their communities.
EMPOWER
We strengthen financial literacy, entrepreneurship knowledge, confidence, and decision-making skills, helping women move beyond simply learning a skill toward using it to create sustainable economic opportunities.
SUSTAIN
Through mentorship, follow-up, and continued support, we help women apply what they have learned, strengthen their income-generating activities, overcome challenges, and work toward greater financial independence and long-term stability.
